Molecular Oncology Specialist - South Germany

AIM OF THE POSITION
The Molecular Oncology Specialist’s (MOS) primary responsibilities are to develop and successfully execute sales strategies to ensure achievement of revenue goals for oncology services by focusing on strategic selling opportunities of Agendia franchise products (i.e. Mamma Print, Blue Print, etc.) within an assigned territory.
POSITION WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION
1. Reports to Sr Sales Director EMEA & APAC
2. Cooperates with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Reimbursement, Customer Service and Finance Departments
3. Organizes activities within the Commercial Department, in close collaboration with Medical
4. Participates in:
– Department meetings (local) [participant]
– Project meetings
– Working groups [participant/chair]
– Project groups [participant/chair]
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Identify, target, educate and manage new and existing accounts in the assigned territory including hospitals, pathology groups, oncologists, surgeons and oncology nurses on Agendia’s Test Suite Breast cancer products.
o Analyze business opportunities and develop strategic sales plans for assigned territory.
o Achieve sales forecasts and targets
o Billing/Reimbursement support as it relates to patients, practices and hospital customers.
o Advises Sr Sales Director EMEA & APAC on relevant client or market concerns.
o Drive new oncology business, support in-field Medical/Reimbursement initiatives, maintaining customer relationships and exceeding sales targets
o Works with Market Access Manager in a support role to develop and refine required clinical / medical documentation to support medical policy for reimbursement.
o Provide support to the Reimbursement Team for medical marketing plans for product development in cooperation with the Sales and Marketing department
o Provide support to initiate and execute clinical trials/research, data collection, safety and medical information programs
o Demonstrates "core" level knowledge of anatomical pathology, technology solutions and competitive strategies through the use of company resources, on the job training, in house literature, marketing material, and sales brochures
o Participate in organizing and facilitating meetings for the exchange of medical and product information in line with the company’s policies, regulatory and legal requirements
o Represent company at trade shows, attend company meetings, training programs and functions as needed
o Recognize changes in the work environment, develop and implement alternate plans to achieve objectives, modify call plan/business plan activities accordingly
o Identify key physicians, health care providers and organizations within assigned territory
o Focus targeted sales activity on high-end revenue, volume opportunities, and on Community Based Oncology and Surgery practices
o Establish and maintain open lines of communication with key personnel in assigned accounts as related to support ongoing issues, and escalate support issues when customer satisfaction is jeopardized.
o Support company sales strategy and contribute in fostering a team environment
o Present a positive and professional image of Agendia, and ensure activities are consistent with and enhance the company’s ethical marketing policies and procedures
o Travel independently throughout defined territory to drive oncology sales
o Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
o Provide ongoing communication to the Sr Sales Director EMEA & APAC regarding business opportunities and issues.
o Maintain database of customers and targets in SFDC (Sales Force)
o Present at EMEA sales meetings and global sales meetings
o Work closely with Sr Sales Director EMEA & APAC to plan and initiate marketing actions according regional market trends, competitive threats and new testing opportunities
o Follows all Agendia NV’s health and safety policies and procedures
o Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g., IVDR, FDA, etc.) and Company policy and procedures. When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in order to maintain Agendia’s reputation within the medical community.
o Timely submission of all necessary administrative tasking including; weekly reports, business plans, expense reports, CRM and various other weekly tasks requested by Sr Sales Director EMEA & APAC.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
o Higher education degree – level – preferably in Life Science, Chemistry, Biotechnologies or Health Care related field
EXPERIENCE
o 5 + years’ work experience in field sales, in the diagnostic, oncology, lab services, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other related industry
o Advanced knowledge of concepts and practices with the ability to use in diverse business situations
o Experience in sales to oncologists, pathologists, and other medical doctors
o Demonstrable oncology network
o General IT skills (Office suite)
o Experience with Salesforce a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA’S)
o Excellent communication skills (including presentation skills)
o Languages: German mother tongue and fluently in English
