Postdoctoral Position (m/f/div)

The Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg, Germany in-vites applications for a Postdoctoral position in the lab of Dr. Al Haj Abed. The Al Haj Abed lab is focused on understanding the epigenetic events contributing to gene regula-tion and parental genome organization during development.

The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date on a full-time job for an initial one-year contract with the possibility of an extension.

YOUR TASKS:
As a Postdoctoral researcher in our lab, you would carry out all the experiments and analysis required for the completion of the project.

• Ch IP-seq analysis, RNA seq analysis
• Mammalian in cell culture
• CRISPR knock-ins and knock-outs
• Imaging and Image analysis
• Participation in experimental design and execution of experiments
• Programming in R and/or python

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for a motivated team player with strong communication skills and the desire to work in a dynamic environment. Applicants should have an academic degree in life science plus a Ph D or equivalent doctoral degree in any area of Biology. Candidates should have a good publication record and very good command of English language.

Applicants should have experience in all of the following areas:

• Mammalian in cell culture
• Cloning and CRISPR knock-ins and knock-outs
• R programming language or python
• Ch IP-seq analysis, RNA seq analysis
• Expertise in image analysis
