Our investment banking division Client Solutions serves all our regions and is comprised of three excellent product factories: Corporate Solutions delivers tailored solutions in advisory, financing, risk management, trade and working capital for our corporate clients; Individual Solutions ensures a rich offering of investment and protection products for individuals; whilst Group Payments Solutions supports corporates, financial institutions, and individual customers in all their payments and liquidity management needs.
Leveraged Finance is part of Debt Markets within Corporates & Individual Solutions (C&IS). Uni Credit is one of the leading European banks for Financial Sponsor (Private Equity) driven Leveraged Buy-out (LBO) as well as NIG Corpratre transactions. Within Uni Credit Leveraged Finance is responsible for all European financial sponsor driven LBO transactions as well as NIG financings for corpoates for loan and HYB. Leveraged Finance is working with a broad universe of clients ranging from top tier large cap private equity funds to leading mid and smaller mid-cap financial sponsors and corporatres, leading a strategic dialog with private equity professionals as well as management teams on C-level.

Tasks and responsabilities as a Trainee in the NIG Financing Solutions DACH team include:
- Origination, execution and portfolio management of financial sponsor driven and NIG corporate transactions with a focus on financing for loan and HYB
- Conduct research on market sectors and LBO targets
- Support preparing client presentations and pitches for general marketing activity and specific transactions
- Assist in preparation of credit papers and support leading credit processes
- Detailed due diligence analysis with conclusion about credit quality of LBO targets / NIG corporates
- Preparing detailed financial models in Excel including the development of sensitivity scenarios
- Support monitoring of LBO debt and NIG corporate financings
- Support syndication processes by writing / preparing syndication materials (e.g. IMs) for Uni Credit led transactions
- Working in transaction based deal teams
What you'll need to succeed

You also match with the following requirements:
- University degree from a recognized institution, preferably a Master's degree in business administration, finance or economics from a recognized institution with very good academic results and / or related financing education like Chartered Account or CFA qualification
- Prior experience in investment banking Leveraged Finance
- Sound knowledge of financial/credit analysis, market and business model dynamics
- Familiarity/experience in building financial models in Excel, knowledge of Bloomberg/Refinitiv/similar tools
- Excellent MS Office skills (esp. Excel, Word & Power Point), presentation skills and ability to organize e.g. credit approval processes

Ability to analyse large amounts of information, ability to cooperate in an international team, pro-active thinking and initiative taking, strong communication skills, ability to prioritize and to multi task
- Ability to work diligently under pressure and deliver top quality on-time
