About the role
There is currently a job opening “Senior Tax Accountant” in the Finance Department. As a Senior Tax Accountant you will oversee tax compliance, strategic planning, and my DATA reporting while managing bookkeeping tasks such as maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the general ledge. If you are eager to ensure compliance with tax laws, provide audit support, and contribute to the organization’s financial accuracy and efficiency, this role is for you!

What you will do:

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and reporting of all tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, and other applicable taxes)
• Oversee and manage the accurate submission of financial data to the Greek my DATA digital platform
• Reconcile tax accounts and ensure that tax-related balances are accurate and up to date
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records, including posting journal entries, managing the general ledger, and handling routine accounting transactions
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring that invoices are properly processed, approved, and paid
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded and discrepancies resolved
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international tax regulations and laws

You fit, if you cover the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• 3-4 years of professional working experience as Accountant or Auditor
• Previous experience in accounting software packages (SAP)
• Previous experience in general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process will be considered an asset
• Strong knowledge on Tax Legislation, IFRS
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Fluency in oral and written English, knowledge of aviation terms in English will be considered an asset

And you have competence in:

• Communicating effectively and in a structured manner
• Demonstrating attention to detail
• Working effectively, both independently and as a member of a team
• Stay updated on tax law changes and IFRS
• Have competence in strong numerical skills
