Job's Purpose

As a Sustainability Specialist, you will directly contribute to our overarching sustainability goals, helping to drive positive change within our organization and beyond. By helping collect, analyze, and report on our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, you will help drive continuous improvement in our sustainability processes and strategy.

What you will focus on

Assist our suppliers across our supply chain in carrying out Carbon emission reduction plans and initiatives.
Evaluate suppliers' Carbon emission performance based on established criteria.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability considerations into ingredients, materials, product design and development (Protein ratios, Healthy ingredients).
Upload and check product information in data basis of new and existing products.
In cooperation with category managers, record all new products and their corresponding sustainability details in platforms and examine whether the details entered by the suppliers are correct.
Communicate and train our supply chain and suppliers on above topics and support category management in these activities.
Stay up to date on emerging trends, best practices, and regulations in sustainable Food Supply chain.
Raise awareness of sustainable food supply chain practices within the company.
Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives.
Report on sustainable supply chain activities.

Who we are looking for

At least 2-3 years of client facing experience assisting in the field of ESG, sustainability and climate change.
Experience in one or more of the subsequent domains: Climate change and decarbonization, energy management, circular economy, sustainable supply chain/ sustainable products, sustainability reporting, sustainable finance.
University degree in business/finance, economics, engineering, a sustainability-related subject, or another discipline with strong quantitative elements
Strong research, analytical and report writing skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and experience handling large amounts of data.
Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise, and professional manner (both in English & in Greek)
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and matrix organization.
