Assistant Lecturer

Major Duties:

(a)

To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;

(b)

To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration;

(c)

To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;

(d)

To assist the operations of the Cybersecurity Centres;

(e)

To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and

(f)

To participate in Centre projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.

Requirements:

(a)

A recognised degree, preferably in Information Technology related discipline, or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;

(b)

Preferably with relevant teaching and/or industry experience;

(c)

Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, including Putonghua; and

(d)

Applicants would have an advantage if they possess any of the following:

(i)

Experience in assisting Cybersecurity-related projects; and/or

(ii)

Good records of linkage with industry / professional bodies or with solid industry experience.

Notes:

(1)

The post is in the rank of “Teaching Associate”.

(2)

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

(3)

Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.

(4)

The appointee(s) may be required to work outside normal office hours and at different work locations as assigned.
