As part of the MTR’s digital transformation journey, the current Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system will be revamped with next-generation technology and automated workflow with an aim to enhancing efficiency, strengthening control and improving user experiences through automation, process re‐engineering and adoption of new technologies.
MTR’s Procurement and Supply Chain (P&SC) function oversees circa HKD 15 billion annual expenditure with over 6,000 suppliers across diverse categories of spend supporting its HK-based Business Units in Rail Transport Operations, Properties and Corporate Services.
The new ERP system is a critical pillar of P&SC’s transformation program and will deliver enhanced digital experiences and new capabilities across source-to-contract, procure-to-pay and supplier management processes, and enable the function to realize its value and service delivery commitments to the Business.

Responsibilities

Manage overall delivery of P&SC’s functional workstream team in the ERP project and assist the ERP Project Program Management Office (PMO) Lead in keeping senior management updated of the overall project progress
Lead the P&SC workstream team, and collaborate with Finance, Materials & Stores Departments and System Integrator teams on detailed solution delivery across the successive stages of the project, including design, configuration / build, system testing (SIT, UAT), data Migration/conversion, user training, go-live and post go-live support
Ensure the ERP solution delivered fulfils functional and operational requirements of P&SC end-users, maximises the adoption of available system capabilities, and facilitates new ways of working and benefits realisation
Lead planning and execution of the functional workstream project plan and collaborate with project leads from Finance, Materials & Stores and IT technical delivery streams to ensure the ERP systems meet cross-functional end-to-end requirements and design considerations. Proactively identify, assess and mitigate potential project risks within or across workstreams
Collaborate closely with P&SC SLT peers and Center of Excellence (COE) leads to identify, evaluate, plan and implement additional ERP capabilities which support P&SC’s transformation & capability uplift programme, as well as technology/innovation capability roadmap. Ensure P&SC policies, processes and procedures are updated to reflect delivered ERP digital capabilities
Lead the P&SC workstream’s planning, development and implementation of Business Readiness Plan and related activities/tasks across key pillars (people, processes, data, systems) to ensure the successful transition of P&SC, Business and Supplier end-users to the new ERP eco-system. Regularly engage with P&SC leaders and their teams to drive successful Business Readiness plan execution and supportive change management
Support senior stakeholders through active engagement and contribution in ERP PMO, ERP Project Steering Committee, and Procurement Leadership Team

Requirements

Degree in Business Administration / Procurement / Supply Chain / Information Systems or equivalent
A minimum of 15 years' combined experience in Procurement & Supply Chain and ERP solution implementation, of which 6 years at managerial level
Prior experience in Procurement & Supply Chain function, with proven domain knowledge in category planning, sourcing and contracting, contract and commercial, supplier and risk management processes management processes
Demonstrated track-record in leading planning, design and implementation of Procurement & Supply Chain workstreams on large-scale ERP projects
First-hand knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS 12.2) and related procurement modules (i Sourcing, i Procurement, i Supplier Portal, Supplier Management Lifecycle) are highly preferred
Experience in project management, change management and transformation to drive and successfully implement large-scale new ERP solution with cross-functional integration
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal/collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at different levels
Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is preferred
