Entry Requirements:

A candidate should have (a)(i) a certificate in building, civil or construction engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic/polytechnic university or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE)/technical college/technical institute, or equivalent; or (ii) five years’ experience in building, civil or construction engineering as a skilled worker; or (iii) satisfactory completion of a recognised technician apprenticeship in the field of building, civil or construction engineering; and (b) attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Language equivalent to Secondary 3 standard.

Duties:

A Contract Works Supervisor is mainly deployed on supervising the construction and maintenance of civil engineering and building works carried out by contractors and direct labour.
(Note : May be required to work in any part of Hong Kong; work irregular hours or shift duties; be available on call and standby duties; and work with computer.)

Terms of Appointment:

Successful candidates will be appointed on 1 year non-civil service contract terms.

Fringe Benefits

Rest days, public holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity leave, paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. 14 days paid annual leave will be granted but there will be no end-of-contract gratuity.
