Enterprise Data Manager (Governance) (Ref: 240001G7)

Responsibilities

Support the development of the Corporation’s data governance framework, including the formulation of related polices and practices, preparation of agenda topics, escalations and dissemination of decisions
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and integration of data governance tools and technologies as well as driving data governance initiatives in line with corporate objectives and compliance requirements
Oversee the execution of data initiatives, including governing data quality, mastering data at the source, and enabling tooling in conjunction with data architecture and data engineering teams
Develop and implement metrics and monitoring processes to assess data quality, conduct regular audits, and take corrective actions as necessary
Establish and assign data ownership and stewardship roles to ensure accountability for data quality, integrity and compliance
Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in data governance, and proactively recommend improvements to enhance data governance processes
Provide guidance and education on data governance policies, procedures, and best practices as well as adoption and reuse of analytics enterprise data in data platforms to promote a data-driven culture and the adoption and data-driven decision-making in the Corporation

Requirements

Degree in Data Management / Information Systems / Computer Science or a related discipline
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in data governance or management, of which at least 2 years should be at managerial / senior supervisory level
Proven track record in leading and implementing data governance initiatives
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, industry standards and related tools and technologies
Possession of a relevant certifications, such as CDMP, DAMA and TOGAF, is preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong stakeholder management abilities
Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
