Head, Marketing and Branding (Hong Kong Palace Museum)

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.
Reporting to Director, Marketing, Digital and Customer Experience, you will be responsible for:
-
formulating venue specific marketing strategies and plans in line with the business strategy of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and HKPM so as to support the long-term development of audience and brand identity of the District and HKPM;
-
ensuring the organisation-wide marketing content, parameters, marketing guidelines and commercial messaging are fully integrated into the museum context and specific marketing communications and materials;
-
collaborating with relevant internal and external parties and stakeholders to ensure all marketing channels are exploited, particularly through digital channels, and the artistic value and commercial message are amplified within marketing activities as and when appropriate;
-
inspiring and leading the team in the implementation of strategies, plans and targets for marketing activities to uplift the brand reputation and drive visitation;
-
driving and orchestrating digital marketing and social media strategies for HKPM with engaging and forward thinking content, maximise brand visibility and presence across all digital touchpoints and social media platforms, lead to improve marketing effectiveness and enhance customer experience;
-
spearheading innovative marketing campaign to promote its cultural destination positioning and to drive both B2B and B2C attendance;
-
providing advice, expertise and direction to responsible HKPM teams to enable strategic decision-making, marketing budget and policy development, resource management, and other matters to ensure projects are aligned with the overall business objectives;
-
conducting marketing research to support any required project and keep updated with latest media platforms and marketing technology;
-
ensuring stakeholder expectations are met and projects are delivered according to budget and in line with relevant standards;
-
overseeing the use of customer analytics to deliver actionable customer and business insights that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency (e.g. customer predictive analytics, visitor insights);
-
reviewing the post marketing initiative effectiveness and Key Performance Indicators leveraging data and analytics and ensuring the results are disseminated and used appropriately to inform future decisions;
-
managing and monitor yearly marketing budgets, as well as to drive attendance and revenue for the responsible venue;
-
meeting monthly pipeline and sharing analytic progress reports with senior management team; and
-
performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.
The ideal candidates should:
-
possess a recognised University degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, tourism or related discipline;
-
have at least 12 years of experience in arts and culture, brand strategy/management, marketing communications or digital field of which 8 years at management level;
-
possess good influencing skills with a hands-on approach, coupled with professional knowledge of and practical experience with online and offline marketing, including digital, data analytics, social media, advertising and print; proven experience in Mainland China digital and online marketing will be an advantage;
-
possess outstanding leadership skills and a great team player with the ability to foster collaboration, inspire creativity, establish a vision and motivate team to achieve strategic business goals;
-
be meticulous with strong interpersonal skills to relate and communicate to internal and external contacts at all levels and build rapport with team members and stakeholders;
-
be able to multi-task and work under pressure in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment;
-
be commercially astute, detail-oriented and have good time management skills; and
-
have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
