What you’ll be doing

• Managing complex conversation with internal teams about network device security issues.
• Liaising with design teams to progress and speed up remediation.
• Testing and collecting device configurations via network configuration management tool.
• Apply mass changes via running-configuration scripts.
• Running compliance state reports.
• Being up to date with BT security standards for managed devices.
• Being up to date with BT’s portfolio and services.
• Support projects to improve the overall quality of our inventory, database, tooling.
• Taking ownership of device security management for major accounts within the company.

Skills/Experience required for the job

• At least 2-3 years in tele/data communications environment.
• Have developed organisation, prioritisation, communication (written and verbal), tenacity and ownership skills.
• Ability to find root causes of problems and to focus on their quick resolution.
• Working with a cooperative and positive attitude in a group setting to achieve common goals.
• Taking the responsibility and taking care of the consequences of decisions.
• Focusing on all aspects and details of a task and delivering your output with a high level of accuracy.

• Experience with scripting and automation
• Experience with JUNIPER networks (Jun OS)
