Job Overview

Function Overview
The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. This collaborative approach ensures a well-coordinated supply chain that aligns with both organizational goals and dynamic market conditions. Link
Purpose of the role
This role is responsible for delivering analytical solutions to the business challenges of the operating units and managing a team of approximately 10 individuals. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with the US Advanced Analytics team and operating unit stakeholders, monitoring and developing optimization and simulation models, and creating data visualization tools for the operating units.
Additionally, the role involves identifying, analyzing, and implementing opportunities across the end-to-end supply chain, with a focus on manufacturing and distribution network design and optimization, capacity planning, and customer service/inventory trade-off analysis. Scenario planning around key supply chain levers is also a critical component of this position.
The individual in this role must effectively manage the team, ensuring optimal resource allocation for projects and maintaining high team engagement to achieve the team's key priorities and deliverables.


Key Accountabilities

Strategic Responsibilities (30% of time)
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Provide thought leadership on continuous process improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Provide thought leadership and execute key strategic efforts undertaken by the team as part of the broader vision and goal setting program of the team.
  • Develop, execute key talent development, and acquisition activities in respective team – hiring, IDPs, P&OR, feedback / coaching and talent upskill programs.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate solutions based on business needs and constraints.
Problem solving and Insight generation
  • Collaborate with key supply chain partners to help identify opportunities where advanced analytical capabilities can be leveraged.
  • Translate the Business problem into analytical problem statement
  • Lead analytical solutioning with the team
  • Lead and coach the team on insight generation and storytelling of results
Stakeholder Management (20% of time)
  • Collaborate with the project managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements, pain points and recommend analytical solutions.
  • Align on the expectations with respect to scope, resources, timelines for project deliverables
  • Influence the business team by translating the complex model results into business language
  • Deliver effective presentation to the stakeholders and align on decisions/recommendations
  • Organize and lead design reviews, feedback sessions and training sessions with stakeholders to ensure business needs are satisfied and support operational integration of the solutions.
Operational Leadership (30% of time)
  • Project delivery through effective project management techniques, highlight risks and changes to project timelines proactively in order to initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Help create the project charter, align on the scope, resources, assumptions, timelines
  • Lead 2 to 3 projects at any given point in time and provide technical expertise to the project team
  • Participate in core project team meetings, call out the risks, options to mitigate and recommend best approach to solve problems
  • Support the implementation of the business process improvement & project management initiatives
  • Balance the resources workload & prioritize projects as per business needs while aligning with the stakeholders’ expectations.
  • Stay tightly connected with internal teams and stakeholders and proactively communicate any risks and opportunities
  • Provide periodic communication & updates on key performance indicators such as quality, timely delivery, customer satisfaction & business value

Team Leadership (20% of time)

  • Identifies and removes barriers allowing for optimum performance and results from the team.
  • Execute hiring strategy to ensure seamless support to organization wide stakeholders.
  • Motivate the team to deliver operations excellence, new capabilities by creating a rewarding and collaborative work environment.
  • Empower people to lead from every seat, fostering a culture of collaboration to drive maximum performance and accountability.
  • Ensure efforts towards employee engagement and retention.
  • Focus on development of SMEs in Supply Chain domain.
  • Identify individual training development needs and provide opportunity to improve by leveraging L&D or external platform.
In performing these accountabilities, the incumbent must develop and maintain an effective working relationship with Organizations’ employees at all levels across the company locations. The Job involves travel to worldwide GMI location on short term basis depending on business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Full Time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory)
  • 7+ years of work experience with demonstrated project and people leadership skills in Supply Chain
  • Hands on experience in working on Analytics – Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive and Prescriptive
  • Domain understanding and experience in Supply Chain Analytics
  • Demonstrated skill in developing analytical solutions using SC Guru, Python, Excel
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Can prioritize and complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into easy-to-understand concepts.
  • Story Telling – Translate complex model results into business recommendations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree
  • 7+ years of work experience with demonstrated project and people leadership skills in Supply Chain
  • Preferred Major Area of Study: Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant.
  • Professional Certifications: Agile Project Management / PMP / SQL / Tableau CSCP/CPIM/CSM / Six Sigma
