Job Summary:
An Independent Motor Surveyor is responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and reporting on the condition of vehicles involved in insurance claims, accidents, or requiring valuations. The surveyor provides impartial assessments to support insurance companies, vehicle owners, and other stakeholders in making informed decisions regarding vehicle repairs, valuations, and settlements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct survey and inspection of vehicle at garages. Document findings with detailed notes, photographs, and videos.
2. Submission of Preliminary assessment and final assessment of loss.Ensure reports are clear, accurate, and submitted within stipulated timelines.
3. Communicate effectively with clients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders. Provide clear explanations of findings, recommendations, and reports. Address any queries or concerns raised by clients in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
Education: Diploma or degree in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in vehicle inspection, motor surveying, or a related role.
Certifications: IRDAI License in Motor Department is Mandatory. Having IIISLA membership will be an additional advantage.
