Our team provides application development and works closely with the production support team in Toronto as well as global infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

Design and develop large-scale applications

Interact very closely with all stakeholders and other team members to refine user requirements through test-driven development (TDD)

Analyze root causes of incidents and provide the solution

Perform code reviews and share your experience with colleagues

Promote the overall stability of the systems through the implementation of best practices to maintain the dev environment

Skills

Must have

7+ years of experience in working as a Gemstone DBA and on Smalltalk programming language as a primary skill

Experience in programming in Java/Python

Hands-on experience in software source control and bug-tracking tools

Understanding of distributed systems

Strong programming Object-Oriented experience and SQL Database Management

Nice to have

Banking / Investment Banking domain experience

Agile / Scrum
