- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training, with a preference for Asian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and cuisines relevant to Asian culinary traditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Manage and supervise the preparation and cooking of Asian dishes in your designated section (e.g., stir-fry, dim sum, sauces).
- Ensure that all food is prepared according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines specific to Asian cuisine.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, including line cooks and apprentices, in Asian cooking techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies relevant to your section.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Sous Chef to develop new Asian menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Ensure consistent quality and taste in all dishes served from your section.
- Assist in maintaining kitchen schedules and workflows during busy service periods.
