- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with sushi preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Prepare and cook authentic Japanese dishes, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation.
- Oversee the daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking in your designated section.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Japanese cooking techniques and presentation.
- Maintain inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients specific to Japanese cuisine.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and refine existing recipes.
- Monitor food quality and ensure consistency in every dish served.
- Assist in maintaining kitchen schedules and workflows during busy service periods.
