Job description
Talent Development Manager is a key role within an organization's human resources or learning and development (L&D) department. This person is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and abilities of employees to help them grow within the company. The goal is to optimize the performance and potential of the workforce, align employee growth with organizational goals, and foster employee engagement and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Development: Designing and facilitating learning programs, workshops, and seminars that address the skill gaps and growth needs of employees.
Employee Growth and Career Pathing: Helping employees define career goals and providing development opportunities, coaching, and mentoring to help them reach their potential.
Performance Management: Collaborating with managers to ensure that talent development aligns with performance reviews, feedback, and future potential assessments.
Leadership Development: Identifying high-potential employees and creating programs to groom them for leadership roles, such as leadership training or mentorship initiatives.
Succession Planning: Working with senior leadership to identify critical roles within the organization and developing a pipeline of talent to fill those positions when needed.
Employee Engagement & Retention: Creating strategies to boost employee engagement through continuous learning opportunities and promoting a culture of growth.
Metrics & Reporting: Analyzing the effectiveness of development programs using metrics such as employee satisfaction, performance improvements, and retention rates.
Collaboration with HR: Working closely with HR and management teams to ensure talent development initiatives are aligned with overall organizational objectives and culture.
Budgeting & Resource Management: Managing the budget for training programs, external consultants, and learning resources.

- Coaching & Mentoring: Providing personalized guidance to employees on their career paths and professional development.
- Data Analysis: Using data and analytics to measure the success of talent development programs.
- Project Management: Managing multiple initiatives and deadlines efficiently.
- A degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in HR, learning and development, or talent management.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS), coaching, and performance management software.
