Cleaning Supervisor

We are recruiting for a Full-Time Cleaning Supervisor for our client based in Blackrock, Co. Dublin.
Previous cleaning experience (minimum 2 years) and supervision of a team (2 years) is essential when applying for this role.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
- To Support the Operation Manager/Area Supervisor in overseeing the day-to-day supervision & long-term development of the contract directed by the Operations Manager.
- To provide effective supervision to build strong and effective working relationships with our colleagues.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through provision of a quality service as laid down in the contract specifications and guarded by the Operations Manager.
- Health & Safety Purpose: To take a direct interest in the health and safety of yourself, your subordinates and others who may be affected by your work activities.
- Maintain services and operations to comply with site specific quality standards as advised by the client and Operations Manager/Contracts Manager
- Maintain the necessary conditions for an effective and safe working environment
- Inform Operations Manager/Contracts Manager of any training and development needs of your teams or individuals’ goals to enhance performance
- To fulfil any administration and management of the cleaning teams and to roster and recruit for operatives as required
- To maintain adequate levels of stock to meet with site specific specification
- Set examples and follow tool box talks/OCS Polices provided by the Operations Manager/Contracts Manager to ensure your teams are working in line with OCS agreed guidelines.
- To build a strong working relationship with the client ensuring site objectives are met at all times
- Ensure that company policy is implemented and being adhered to.
- Communicate regularly with staff through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas and that morale remains high.
- Ensure that the OCS safety image is reflected positively through your actions and those of your subordinates.
- To direct activities of all subordinates, ensuring that they are properly trained to competently carry out their duties and responsibilities as well as ensuring that they acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for safety.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that a safe system of work is produced and communicated to employees (subordinates) prior to the commencement of the work activity.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
- Ensure that work activities are properly managed and supervised.
- You will be required to work closely with the Group Health and Safety team who are available to provide safety advice and support. Furthermore you will be required to ensure that safety initiatives are implemented within your areas of control. As advised by the Operations Manager/AS.

- Advise your Operations Manager of any on-going coaching to subordinates so they can offer the skills and knowledge for them to reach their optimum potential, Induction & Training, Providing on-going support to work colleagues
- Ensure the teams are working in line with the set contract spec to ensure all areas are met/
