The Finance competency at EY is a multifaceted team that focuses on providing expert guidance and support to clients in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, managing and analysing finance and risk data, and implementing finance transformation initiatives. Our goal is to drive the finance functions’ effectiveness, agility and value contribution within the clients organisation which can include integration of new technologies, optimisation of processes and the adoption of innovative practices.
EY’s FSO Business Consulting are experiencing an exciting period of growth due to the financial services sector undergoing rapid transformative changes. In response to market demand, we are looking for an experienced senior manager in working with Financial Services Industry in Ireland or UK, and proven expertise in leadership of complex finance transformation delivery projects.
Your Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a person with Finance and risk regulatory reporting experience, track record in project and team leadership experience, client relationship management excellence, communication, and business acumen as well as passion for innovation, building high performing teams and culture of trust, respect, and diversity.
Client responsibilities:
- Manage engagements with our clients and provide high quality consulting services to a portfolio of clients.
- Understand EY’s service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients across our range of services.
- Develop and maintain long term client relationships and networks.
- Identify business development opportunities and lead proposal development efforts.
- Drive innovation in processes and systems, leveraging technology to enhance client performance.
Practice and people development responsibilities:
- Lead diverse teams with varying skillsets.
- Adapt your leadership style to fit team, client, and their cultural needs.
- Contribute to expanding our brand in the market by attending relevant events, collaborating with other internal teams, producing thought leadership, etc.
- Participate in business development activities including client presentations and proposals
- Foster a supportive, inclusive and growth team-oriented work culture.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Significant client relationship management skills, gained through prior consulting roles or within large financial services / technology organisations
- Proven track record in relevant management and leadership roles in data centric projects and engagements in consulting industry
- Expertise in key Finance and Risk regulatory reporting – for example in-depth knowledge of BCBS239, IRe F, IFRS 9
- Experience in Regulatory reporting requirements interpretation – translation of theoretical requirements into practical data and transformations, ability to bridge the language of both business and IT/Data delivery
- Data management – experience with data models, data management including data quality & remediation processes
- Data governance – 8+ years of experience of Data Management Frameworks including implementation of ownership & accountability across data chain
- Regulatory reporting production – experience of producing critical reporting underpinning capital, liquidity and profitability with appropriate control frameworks.
- Strong track record of delivering regulatory reporting transformation programmes, with experience of applying methodologies such as Prince 2/ Agile.
- Experience of delivering change through multi-disciplinary stakeholders and collaborating across jurisdictions.
- Strong communications skills, with experience of leading strategy material and presenting to C-suite stakeholders.
- Experience with SQL, a range of data governance tooling, BI tools and data platforms
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and develop others, effectively communicate, manage budgets, timelines, and plans, manage client expectations, deliver quality projects.
