As the Growth and Expansion Operations Director at Donmar, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the expansion of the business to a wider audience, along with ensuring the efficient operation of the company to meet new demand. The person will be reporting directly to the owner you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks aimed at optimising processes, enhancing quality, and driving overall performance. You will help to formulate our business strategy and target expansion opportunities, particularly amongst the large South American community in Ireland. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans aimed at achieving business objectives and enhancing operational efficiency. Utilise your experience in strategic planning breakdown to align goals from executive leadership to operational staff. Promotion of Brand: Expanding and developing our social media presence along with highlighting our business and services on relevant forums. In addition, targeted ad campaigns that would promote the accommodation and tour guides provided by the company. Event organisation: Preparing and executing events through dynamic and unique tour guides and events that will foster engagement, aimed specifically at appealing to South American students, residents and holidayers. Process Improvement: Utilise your expertise in Lean tools and methodologies to identify inefficiencies and streamline processes throughout the organisation. Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and daily work routine applications to enhance operational performance. Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and cross-functional communication. Work closely with other departments, including housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of tasks. Customer Satisfaction: Monitor guest feedback and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary. Strive to exceed guest expectations and create memorable experiences for every visitor. Qualifications: Minimum NFQ Level 8 degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, management accounting or related field. Minimum 3 years involvement in business operations or strategic planning Strong understanding of South American culture, likes and understanding. Have a good command of Spanish or Portuguese (preferably from a South American dialect) Level 6 in IELTS score Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and identify improvement opportunities. Proficiency in Lean tools and methodologies, with a focus on process improvement and simplification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate staff at all levels. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: €34,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 39 per week
