About the role
We at Kingspan Light, Air + Water have an exciting opportunity for a Head of e Commerce to lead our ecommerce strategy through a period of substantial growth both organically and via acquisition.Within this role you will oversee day to day digital trading and play a key role in the Global expansion of our ecommerce channel and overall strategy.
You will be responsible for leading and implementing strategic growth via digital and online channels by encouraging, mentoring, coaching, and supporting teams. You will be responsible for the P&L, strategic planning and provide strong financial management.
Your actions will lead to the continued development of a collaborative culture and ensure that succession planning are essential elements of your leadership.
Location: Hybrid working at a location in Europe, UK, or Ireland
Compliance
  • Cooperating with and support the compliance management system and encouraging personnel to do the same
  • Developing personnel awareness of product compliance obligations
  • Actively participate in corrective actions from concerns or internal audits.
  • Ensuring that all personnel within their control are complying with the organisations product compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures Divisional Commercial Director and Head of e Commerce
  • Integrating product compliance obligations into existing business practises and procedures in their area of responsibility and encouraging a compliance culture
  • Encouraging their personnel to raise product compliance concerns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define the global and localised vision and strategy with expansion at the forefront for Kingspan ecommerce trading sites.
  • Manage and optimise the ecommerce P&L in conjunction with the Managing Directors in each region.
  • Define new ecommerce market opportunities both organic and via acquisition within the “Building Envelope” sector, leading market entry, and expansion of trading categories where possible.
  • Work globally with senior colleagues to develop ecommerce channels for group wide product segments relating to the “Building Envelope”.
  • Support an expanding team of ecommerce managers and support them develop in-country trading plans, content and merchandising initiatives for their specific sectors.
  • Responsibility for ensuring each region continues to deliver sales and conversion targets against budget, working closely with finance, production and purchasing to align on commercial forecasts.
  • Work with appointed digital agencies to manage paid and organic traffic levels via appropriate channels and hold them accountable to agreed performance levels.
  • Ensure onsite product presentation, visibility, and navigation standards are maintained with maximum product exposure across the website and marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with local marketing teams on marketing compliance, own brand content, marketing channels, customer experience intel and digital tools and platforms. Ensuring an optimum and efficient approach.
  • Responsible for site enhancements and projects to optimise customer experience across the entire journey
  • Continue to refine and implement continuous reporting and analysis on conversion, engagement and success metrics and leverage data to inform smarter choices and develop new initiatives for our sites.
  • Identify new opportunities to enhance the consumer experience and create immersive brand engagement and frictionless shopping.
  • With Key business stakeholders review the suitability of chosen ecommerce platforms and their integrations, ensuring a consistent, optimised experience exists for our customers across all product segments, allowing us to deliver optimum NPS scores for our sites.
  • Develop, lead, and implement the right e-commerce strategies tailored to specific product categories and business units devising annual budgets and forecasts to achieve the wider business objectives.
  • Analyse performance and ensure the identified recommendations are implemented to achieve profit targets.
  • Undertake regular communications and other activities to foster a culture of employee engagement at all levels of the business.
  • Ensure that the Company’s philosophy and value base is communicated and adhered to consistently across the organisation.
  • Responsible for exceptional customer service delivery at all levels and at all customer touch points
  • Leading negotiations of new suppliers to drive optimal ratio of third party manufactured vs own manufactured products and develop relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Lead the implementation of business improvements and other organisational initiatives and effectively manage resistance to change where it arises.
  • Pro-actively lead and promote people development specifically in areas such as talent management, project management, commercial awareness, technical development and people management and leadership skills.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education
  • Graduate education or equivalent in a business, engineering, Information technology, digital or related field
Experience & Knowledge
  • Proven leader with a track record at Senior Manager level, in a reputable multi-site organisation Exceptional leadership and people skills, tough and resilient, whilst being able to manage change with a consultive and collaborative approach.
  • Good understanding of managing the P&L
  • Significant experience in multisite ecommerce trading environments ideally including B2B e Commerce.
  • Experience leading and growing teams with a firm grasp on supporting technologies & advancing the ecommerce channels in industry with historically more traditional routes to market Experience in setting up, maintaining and standardising e Commerce solutions for web-based lead generation, B2B trading as well as launching products on 3rd party platforms.
  • Good analytical skills to support data-led decision making
