The Fitzwilliam hotel has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Hotel Receptionist.

2024 is a very exciting time at the Fitzwilliam as we celebrate 25 years in operation with a complete hotel refurbishment. Having recently been awarded Great Place to Work certification and also Employer Excellence certification from Failte Ireland, there could not be a better time to join the team.

The role involves:

Providing an outstanding guest experience by exceeding guest expectations.
Carrying out all tasks in accordance with procedures as outlined in the Front Office Standards Manual.
Ensuring all tasks and checklists are actioned and completed during shift.
Having comprehensive knowledge and actively promoting the surrounding area of Dublin.
Maximising all available sales opportunities by actively upselling the hotel facilities and rates.
Ensuring that all aspects of security and cash handling are followed at all times in accordance with the Hotel Policy.
Having the highest standards of presentation and cleanliness at the Front Desk.

The ideal candidate must have:

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Previous experience of Opera reservations system is preferred
Exceptional selling skills both upselling and cross selling
Attention to detail
Strong customer focus skills
Positive attitude to work
Enjoys a sense of empowerment and a want to improve
The ability to work shifts and weekends
