Job Description
We are seeking a skilled IT Network Professional to join our team; this is a new position within Digicom. As an AV Integrator, we need to engage with our customers IT departments regarding how our solution will affect their IT Infrastructure and we need to build our expertise in this area. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with implementing and managing the IT infrastructure that complex AV systems use to integrate various hardware, software, and network components to achieve specific business objectives. This will include Network Administration, Microsoft Teams Rooms (admin centre & room hardware) administration, Remote Monitoring and Management platforms administration plus more. You will work closely with other members of the AV team, including internal software developers, and external client Network Administrators and IT staff to ensure that all systems work seamlessly together. This role requires expertise in enterprise IT, network infrastructure, audiovisual systems, and client-facing communication. 
The successful candidate will:
  • Develop an IT Structure in Digicom which enhances our current offering to clients and ensures that our solution can be integrated with their existing IT Infrastructure. 
  • Be the onboarding liaison for our Sales / Installation team to collaborate with our customers in the IT requirements at an early stage. 
  • Define networking terms to effectively communicate and collaborate with network administrators and technology managers.
  • Participate in Pre Sales / Pre-Installation meetings with customers as the IT Expert to understand and explain any concerns the customers may have. 
  • Understand the OSI and/or TCP/IP model that describes how a network transports and delivers data.
  • Go through the layers of the OSI model with AV applications.
  • Estimate bandwidth calculations for data.
  • Learn AVo IP configuration with vendors QSE, Crestron & Kramer. 
  • Involved in the development of our remote monitoring systems and ensure that we have clear KPI information recorded that can be reported back to customers. 
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation of network configurations, integration processes, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to audiovisual integration and network infrastructure. 
  • Propose and implement strategic changes and improvements to IT processes, infrastructure, and systems to support the company's growth strategy and scalability requirements. 
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to IT governance, security, and data protection. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes.

Essential Criteria:
  • Min 2.2 Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering or cognate discipline.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the Republic of Ireland/EU; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Republic of Ireland you must upload a copy of it with your application.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in system integration or related field   
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and network components 
  • Proven experience in IT network administration, configuration, and troubleshooting. 
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security principles. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Full clean driving licence
Desirable Criteria:
  • Certifications in systems integration or related field (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, MCSE) are a plus. 
  • Experience of working in industry.
  • Personal attributes / skills: excellent technical, problem solving and communication skills; ability to work as part of a team.
