Leisure Club Assistant Manager

Report to: Leisure Club Manager
Main Responsibilities:
- To work as directed, and assist and advise the Leisure Centre Manager in the continual improvement of the facility while ensure that all requirements under Health and Safety are met.
- To address within own scope of responsibility, all product and process failures, and to report the same directly to the Leisure Centre Manager in a timely manner.
- To operate and be accountable for, the Point Of Sale and Booking System and ensure that all potential sales and membership enquiries are maximised and accounted for.
- To be accountable for, and ensuring that, the cleaning of all areas is carried out as per schedule, and ensure that the all staff are aware of their own responsibilities and duties.
- To help develop Swim Lessons, Activities and all other fitness related classes.
- Directly responsible and accountable for all matters concerning leisure operating supplies and retail P.O.S Stock.
- Leading and maintaining a high level of customer care, and resolving customer complaints effectively with the leisure centre manager.
- To design and promote revenue generating, and social, programmes for customer’s of the facility.
- To assist the centre manager in the continual site specific training of all staff in the leisure team, water safety, operations, and health and safety.
- Completing a wide range of administrative and operational tasks as assigned for time to time.
- To directly supervise all full-time and part-time staff and ensure that duties assigned by the leisure manager are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
- To be responsible for ensure that the resources of the facility are not wasted, energy (Light / Heat / manpower, etc).
· Qualification in Leisure Management/ Experience in Management of a similar sized Leisure Club
· Pool life guard qualified, Pool Plant Operator trained and also Qualified Swim Teacher
· Strong Health and Safety knowledge
· Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Good business acumen.
· Dynamic and hands-on.
· Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
· Ability to lead, delegate and motivate staff.
· Excellent IT skills.
