Job Title: O'briens - Irish Sandwich Café Manager
Place of Work: O'briens Café, Sundrive Road, Dublin 12
Purpose: The main purpose of the Café Manager's job is to ensure the O’Briens Sandwich Café fulfils all the standards and objectives outlined in the Operational Manual and is in a position to recognise, and respond to, opportunities for improvement and growth whilst adhering to brand standards.
Responsible to: The Franchise Partner / Area Manager
Liaises with: The Store Manager will develop a special relationship with:
- Other unit managers; and
- Support Office personnel
Main Duties:
Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the cafe, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
To ensure all merchandising and promotional material is correctly used and/or displayed.
To ensure all plant, fixtures and fittings are maintained to the highest standard of efficiency and safety and that where repairs are required, they are carried out without delay.
To ensure all cash / financial controls are in place and fully adhered to in line with the requirements of the Operations Manuals.
Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise staff, including baristas and wait staff. Schedule staff in line with business requirements, manage their time cards and timely payroll processing. Knowledge of Bizimply would be an advantage.
Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction as per O’Briens customer service objectives by providing excellent service and resolving any issues or complaints.
Inventory Management: Order supplies, manage inventory, and coordinate with vendors.
Financial Oversight: Monitor daily expenses and revenues, maintain financial records, and ensure that the unit achieves the operating margins outlined in the manual and work towards increasing profitability.
Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and inviting environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Marketing: Implement strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Others: To ensure that all enquiries with regard to the store services and / or franchise are dealt with properly including contacting AIL Support Office where necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Detailed orientated and passionate about doing a great job.
• Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of financial management and budgeting.
• Flexibility: Availability to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €33,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
