Principal Systems Analyst
Seeking an experienced systems analyst who can analyze and lead complex, enterprise initiatives across the Employee Digital Experience Web squadron and out to all dependent partners.
As a principal systems analyst you are naturally curious and determined to understand the full impact of an initiative or change.
In partnership with the chapter leads, squad leads, architects and squads you will help to identify and remove program impediments and facilitate scaled agile ceremonies as you manage interdependencies across squads and product areas.
You will have responsibility for release management coordination for any cross-squad initiatives within the squadron.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- Detail oriented, coupled with strong technical analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, with a strong desire to learn and contribute to a high functioning team and a shown knowledge of the financial services industry, attained through training and application experience.
- Must be an organized self-starter with a collaborative work style, and the ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated experience in co-ordination and delivery of complex initiatives.
- A track record for working optimally across technology, business, and operational functions at an enterprise level.
- Can effectively work with people at different levels, across different types of teams.
- Proven experience of analyzing complex technical problems and initiatives.
- Strong presentation skills. Well-versed in using in JIRA, confluence, etc. for documentation and story creation.
- Good experience in creating systems diagram, sequence diagram based on business requirements.
- Experience working with web based and client- based desktop applications desired.
- Knowledge of the current technologies and evolving trends. Including a good working knowledge of Web Services and API’s such as REST and comfortable with SQL databases.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.

- Work with teams to deliver incremental objectives and to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.
- Work with tech leads and architects to evaluate design of existing systems to judge their functionality, efficiency, reliability, performance, usage, maintainability and cost of ownership.
- Lead the overall analysis on bigger picture, more complex projects that can be either product or technical - where there are multiple squads, work streams and dependencies ongoing.
- Manage risks/issues, dependencies and scope from product teams.
- Coordinate dependencies with other internal teams, as well as dependencies with external (vendor) teams.
- Provide support in estimating, planning, scheduling, and prioritizing work.
- Provide thought leadership to better Systems Analysis Chapter and may act as mentor junior team members.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on status of delivery execution.
- Work with the squad's analysts to ensure standardisation of our chapter's outputs (documentation - confluence, diagrams, stories etc.).
