We are a residential care facility dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and teenagers, including refugee youth, in Ireland. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for those in need, helping them grow, heal, and thrive.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Residential Care Manager to oversee the daily operations of our facility, with a strong focus on the care and well-being of children and teenagers, particularly those from refugee backgrounds. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of care, supervise staff, and maintain compliance with child welfare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the care facility, ensuring that the needs of children and teenagers are met.
- Lead and manage a dedicated team of caregivers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for each child, collaborating with social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with child welfare standards, safeguarding policies, and relevant legal requirements.
- Build trusting relationships with the children, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
- Handle crisis situations or escalations with a compassionate, trauma-informed approach.
- Monitor staff performance, scheduling, and development.
- Coordinate with families and external agencies to provide holistic support for children in care.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Child Development, or Healthcare Management.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally working with vulnerable children or refugee populations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of child protection policies and trauma-informed care.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and care standards in Ireland.

Pay: From €35,000.00 per year
Additional pay:
- Bonus pay
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Healthcare management: 1 year (preferred)
- English (preferred)
- QQI Level 6 component certificate in Child Development (preferred)
- Ireland (preferred)
