Bridge Executive Recruitment has been engaged by one of its clients to recruit an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team in Cork. Bridge Executive Recruitment is part of Corporate HR Ireland who provide a comprehensive outsourced HR service to an extensive client base across Ireland.
PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

The company places a significant importance on its environmental role, with significant investment in solar panels and the development of forestry with Ireland to offset any impact it has on the environment, a continual focus.
The role is responsible for overseeing the efficient day-to-day manufacturing operations. This role requires liaising with the Production Manager, Quality, HR, Health and Safety department as well as Senior Management to ensure an efficient production process, maintaining and developing quality standards, as well as meeting production targets. The role will provide a deputy for the Production Manager to ensure. This role may require you to work a shift pattern, normally Monday to Friday only.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Production Management:
oPlan, organise, and manage the daily operations of your production lines.
oEnsure production schedules are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
oMonitor production processes to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks promptly.
2.Team Leadership:
oSupervise and lead a team of production operators, technicians and ancillary staff to support the production process.
oTo support your team to meet its performance targets with advice, training etc.
3.Process Optimisation:
oAnalyse production data to identify areas for process improvements.
oImplement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise resource utilisation.
oCollaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure machinery is running at optimal performance levels.
4.Quality Control:
oEnsure all products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications. The company is a Grade A BRC site & also has the ISO9000:2015 standard.
oWork closely with the quality assurance team to implement and maintain quality control processes.
oAddress any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
5.Safety and Compliance:
oEnsure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety protocols.
6.Resource Management:
oCo-ordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supplies.
oPlan with and provide preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and operate machinery in the most efficient manner.
7.Reporting and Documentation:
oEnsure that there are accurate records of production outputs, downtime, waste, and other key metrics.
oPrepare and present regular reports on production performance to the Production Manager/Senior Management.
oEnsure all production documentation is up to date and compliant with regulatory/company requirements.
Essential Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years experience in a senior supervisory or production management role within a fast moving, multi-site manufacturing environment.

• Education: Third Level Qualification in Production/Mechanical Engineering or Food Manufacturing is desirable.

• Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production management software.
Strong understanding of quality control, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Good communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
