Job description
We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding MDT team of Psychologists & occupational therapists in Dublin. This position can be full time or part time with highly flexible hours.
The successful candidates will be offered continuing professional development and weekly supervision and work as part of a dynamic team.

• Carrying out assessment and therapeutic intervention
• Liaising with clients, family members, carers and other staff
• Onward referral to other members of the MDT where necessary
• Keeping detailed clinical notes and drafting reports on client assessments, intervention and progress.

Essential criteria

• Degree in Speech and Language therapy
• Candidates must be motivated, adaptive and creative with a passion for engaging with clients across a mixed and varied caseload on a daily basis. Candidates should be eager to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, self-driven and focused
• CORU registered or be able to show proof of pending registration
• Relevant post qualification or under-graduate placement experience in a paediatric/disability setting
• Eligible to work in Ireland
• Excellent communication skills - oral and written
• Ability to work in a self-directed manner and to work as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Effective use of reflective practice/supervision process

Desirable criteria

• Post graduate qualification and experience
• Experience of developing and running groups for parents/ children

The successful candidate will be expected to perform a range of duties as outlined below:

• To provide comprehensive Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments in line with best practice guidelines.
• To take the lead in managing the assessment and coordinate with other team members including Assistant Psychologists and Occupational Therapists where necessary in the completion of assessments.
• To provide detailed reports post assessment.
• To provide on-going support to clients and their families.
• To manage their caseload in an efficient manner.
