Software Engineering Internship - AI Hardware Accelerators (Raanana, Israel)

The Red Hat Ecosystems Engineering group is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our team in Raanana, Israel. The ecosystem engineering organization works on some of the most strategic projects and partnerships, and we’re looking for someone to help us with partner integration and accelerator tooling development supporting AI, edge and telco 5G use cases. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with upstream kubernetes communities.

Primary job responsibilities

Play an active role in applying Kubernetes and Red Hat Open Shift to customer use cases
Work on supporting existing and developing new Kubernetes operators on multiple platforms and architectures
Develop and integrate changes in multiple projects using open source methodologies to provide end-to-end solutions
Troubleshoot, analyze bug root causes, and provide resolutions
Work with various engineering teams to ensure that our offerings are developed and tested correctly
Contribute to automation (CI)
Interface with Red Hat partners to assist with hardware enablement for Red Hat Open Shift

Required Skills

Experience with Linux distributions, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is a plus
Experience with containers and container orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes, Docker/Crio (Open Shift is a plus)
Experience with software development and languages. Examples include: Golang, python, bash and/or Ansible
Provide examples of software development and use of git
Working in an agile environment
Good written and verbal English language skills
Current student enrolled at a university in Israel with graduation in summer/autumn 2025

Nice to have

CI tools and processes
Integration testing background
Virtualization Platforms
Understanding of server hardware components
Storage technologies, high speed interconnects, RDMA/FPGA devices
Networking technologies such as NFV and SDN
Open source development
Familiarity with GPU’s or accelerator devices is a plus
