IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a junior bioinformatician to join the Innovative Immunotherapies Unit in the division of Immunology, Transplantation and Infectious diseases.

Main activities:
Our group focus on developing cutting-edge strategies for cancer treatment that exploit T cells engineered to express chimeric antigen receptors (CAR-T cells), spanning from identification of new CAR specificities to development of approaches to improve efficacy, up to toxicity testing and mitigation evaluated in advanced humanized animal models.
Successful candidates will apply bioinformatics tools to analyse different types of omics data to identify novel determinants that may impact CAR-T cell therapy responses. He/she will be offered the possibility of spanning multiple areas of expertise in a bright and collaborative environment with international involvement. He/she will be based in a very dynamic research hospital and will benefit from the close interactions with bioinformaticians working at COSR and at the Bioinformatics Core of the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget). He/she will be supervised by Dr. Chiara Balestrieri, senior bioinformatician in the Experimental Hematology Unit.

Who we are looking for:The candidate should have:
previous experience in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis;

demonstrated proficiency in Python or R;

Interest in immuno-oncology and/or previous experience working in the field of immunology is appreciated;

a track record of publications in bioinformatics is appreciated.

Type of contract will depend on experience and CV of the applicant;

Duration: one-year renewable;
