Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Building Porter to join our team for a temporary full time position. The Building Porter will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the building, cleaning the surrounding grounds, and handling daily garbage removal. This is a key position to ensure the comfort and safety of residents, tenants, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and restrooms.
- Regular sweeping and maintenance of the exterior grounds, including sidewalks and parking areas.
- Emptying trash receptacles and removing garbage from the building to designated areas daily.
- Mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and other general cleaning tasks as needed.
- Monitoring and reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the management team.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety in all work areas.
- Responding to emergency cleaning requests promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a porter, janitorial, or maintenance role is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication with residents and staff.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including trash bags and cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
