About the Role
The Compliance Analyst will support compliance activities for Britannia Europe and Tindall Riley Europe (TRE) in Luxembourg. This is a varied role which will include monitoring legal and regulatory changes, managing regulatory returns and interactions, and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Researching and monitoring changes in the Luxembourg's legal and regulatory landscape (including Circulars and Information Notes issued by the CAA) and considering (and reporting on) the implications for the business.
- Collaborating with the Compliance Key Function Holder to consider necessary changes for Compliance (including policies and procedures, internal training, compliance monitoring plans, thematic reviews, etc) and assisting in the implementation as appropriate.
- Collating and recording regulatory interactions and licenses and waivers obtained.
- Assisting in drafting and filing regulatory returns for Britannia Europe and TRE in Luxembourg and ensuring that relevant staff are aware of the filing deadlines.
- Assisting in preparing and managing applications for Director and Key Function Holder roles for Britannia Europe and TRE.
- Assisting Co Sec in filing legal documents on the RCS (equivalent of Company’s house) and liaising with notaries and local lawyers as required.
- Attending relevant industry events, as required.

Competencies
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of regulation and desire to develop a career in Compliance.
- Basic understanding of financial crime regulation, including sanctions, regulated roles, regulatory reporting and data protection.
- Ability to rapidly grasp concepts for a non-life, commercial insurer within the mutual insurance sector and apply regulation accordingly.
Qualifications/Education
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Study in Legal qualification / paralegal experience is desirable
- Fluency in French and English language.
- Ability to interpret regulation and summarise key information.
