Finance Manager, Accounting, Accounting

- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Significant experience with an emphasis on accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm
- Thorough level knowledge in reporting requirements under IFRS / US GAAP
- Certified accountant qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Fluent English proficiency (verbal & written - C1)
We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Finance Manager to join our Accounting team based in Luxembourg as a valuable contributor. In this role, you will focus on financial reporting and compliance, leveraging your exceptional communication and organizational skills to drive continuous improvement and optimization.
This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.
Key job responsibilities
- Coordinating with auditors and Amazon accounting teams to manage interim and year-end audit timelines and milestones. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to closely monitor audit progress and identify potential blockers. Driving efficient execution of audit activities through proactive communication, issue escalation, and process improvement recommendations.
- Being a key contributor to current and future business launch initiatives, restructuring projects, and other cross-functional, European and global projects and initiatives, collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization. Preparation or review of statutory financial statements under local GAAPs.
- Preparation and review of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial and statutory needs, including analytic commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders.
- Actively contributing to improvement initiatives, standardization, re-engineering of processes and controls, and implementation of best practices.
- Working with various cross-functional stakeholders to maintain efficient and compliant reporting processes, and effective controls.

- Demonstrating excellent project management abilities and strong understanding of financial reporting and audit processes
- Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology
- Comfortable managing ambiguous situations independently
- Experience in projects management
