INTRODUCTION

This Statement of Work covers the provisioning of SAP Basis consultancy services to NSPA.

The NSPA SAP Basis Team is composed of internal staff members complemented by contractor staff, for delivering mission-critical services to the agency in supporting the day-to-day of the NSPA SAP landscape. The NSPA SAP landscape consists of several SAP products, installed on several SAP systems. The SAP systems are running on HP-UX or Windows servers, and use one of the following database management systems: SAP HANA, SAP ASE (Sybase) or Microsoft SQL Server. The SAP systems need regular maintenance in order to ensure the proper functioning, adequate performance and availability of the services they offer.

SCOPE

The services shall cover the installation, management, operation of the complex NSPA SAP landscape and related ICT infrastructure, and the realization of analysis on related subjects.

OBJECTIVES

The purpose of this project is to provide Consultancy Services, in order for the IS Division to be able to react rather quickly to upcoming requirements in the various areas involved in the Basis Administration, operation and Management of the NSPA SAP Installation (including the SAP IT Infrastructure).

EDUCATION

• University Degree in the relevant field from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of Education and Experience.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Senior SAP Basis Engineer;
• Minimum three (3) years of SAP experience in an operational environment supporting business applications, on UNIX/HP-UX-based Servers and Oracle DBMS.

Minimum four (2) years of Experience in the following areas:

• Experience in providing SAP Basis consultancy services for a company having business processes and activities similar to NSPA’s ones.
• Good PC Skills - Usage as well as configuration and familiarity of Windows 10
• Strong networking fundamentals (LAN, routers, DHCP, DNS, TCP-IP, WAN).

SAP Installation and Upgrade:

• Experience must include at least three cutovers into production of mid- to large sized SAP projects where the DBMS has been SAP ASE (Sybase) and HANA DBMS.
• The SAP Basis Engineer must have experience in installing at least three of the following releases of the SAP Software: SAP system based on SAP Netweaver 7.50 and later, SAP ECC6 and EHP6 or higher, SAP Solution Manager 7.2, SAP BW (7.40 or higher), SAP BPC for Net Weaver 10.1, SAP Gateway, SAP Web Dispatcher, SAP Access Control (GRC), SAP S/4HANA (on premise) and ABAP Platform, SAP Fiori, SAP BO and SAP Data Services. Preferably, the installation of the application server was done on a Windows VMs infrastructure.
• The SAP Basis Engineer must have performed already at least three SAP installations with SAP ASE (Sybase) and HANA RDBMS.
• The SAP Basis Engineer must have executed at least two SAP upgrades in homogeneous or heterogeneous environments.

SOW REQUIREMENTS

SAP and SAP Basis Experience

• SAP experience in an operational environment supporting business applications, preferably on Windows OS with SAP HANA or SAP ASE database.
• Exhaustive SAP Basis administration and monitoring, including SSO configuration, SAP transports, SAP security aspects,…
• Differentiation of client-dependent and client-independent parameter settings.
• Mastering the complex interactions of the different internal components of the SAP system (locking system, caching of data at application server and database server.
• IT infrastructure Implementation wrt. SAP problematic

DBMS [Data Base Management System] Experienced

• Management and Implementation of large SAP ASE (Sybase) and HANA DBMS for SAP environment.
• Proven experience with upgrading and patching of SAP HANA and SAP ASE databases.
• usage of HPE Service Guard to switch HANA database clusters on Linux.
• Copy of entire SAP databases from one environment to another environment. This of course includes all surrounding activities such as planning of changes of size and configuration of target system as well as its implementation and installation.

Infrastructure Experience

• Strong System Management experience in general.

General Experience

• The SAP Basis Engineer must be able to speak very well in English and French languages.
• The SAP Basis Engineer must be able to write clear and concise reports and documentation in both French and English languages.
• Excellent communications skills - both oral and written. Need to be able to prepare customer reports.
