Job Description
As member of our valuation team, you will be performing analytical work both on funds and individual assets, ensuring the preparation of asset valuations and related reporting for funds under management, our clients and internal stakeholders. In your day-to-day work you will be in contact with the product management team, internal and external portfolio managers, as well as interact closely with risk management and investment analytics. The team you will be joining is dynamic and embraces regulatory and business-related challenges to be implemented in the operational environment, including the role’s following main activities:
- Analyse and categorise financial information for investments and funds, with focus on infrastructure instruments and structured debt
- Undertake ongoing monitoring of the performance of various illiquid asset classes
- Perform financial modelling and DCF calculations for private debt and equity instruments, supporting valuation processes consistent with IPEV guidelines
- Further develop your existing knowledge of the valuation function, ensuring proficiency in financial modelling, financial analysis and valuations for assets
- Learn working alongside auditors, external valuation service providers, and portfolio managers
- Support timely checks, valuation analysis production and delivery of valuation reports to funds, investors and regulators
- Support the preparation of relevant documentation for fund board meetings, conducting persons and our board of directors
- Liaise internally with other teams, to provide assistance in all valuation matters
- Work together with the head of valuation on development projects
- Support the follow-up on ad-hoc client requests
- Hold a Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in economics, finance or engineering
- Have 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in the valuation of illiquid assets
- Ideally have first practical experience in performing financial modelling and DCF calculations
- Good command of IT applications and in particular Microsoft Office (including strong Excel skills).
- Analytical thinking, problem solving skills, curiosity and critical thinking when analysing numbers and data, combined with an ability to work independently and to meet deadlines
- Good command of English is expected; knowledge of German is an advantage but not mandatory
Expected hours: 40 per week
