Luxembourg Tax Analyst
FULL TIME & PART TIME

Based in our headquarters in Luxembourg, you will enforce the Aperam Global tax team and assist in day to day work as well as projects involving direct and indirect tax and this in a rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the corporate income tax returns for the Luxembourg legal entities (operational, finance, holding, reinsurance, ..) being part of a tax unity. This would, among others, include interest limitation computations, CFC analysis and preparation of SPF documentation if required (in collaboration with Transfer Pricing team), nexus ratio & IP Box calculations, net wealth tax computations. Cover the correct tax treatment of dividends and capital gains / losses/ impairments on a stand-alone basis and at tax unity level;
- Review, analysis and follow-up of the tax assessments;
- Prepare and advise on quarterly / annual withholding tax exemption returns for dividend distributions / director remunerations;
- Management of the quarterly dividend payment process to Aperam SA shareholders (review of exemption files for major shareholders) and complete and file withholding tax/exemption returns;
- Assistance in the monthly and quarterly closing process (review tax provision calculations), including interest limitation, nexus ratio calculations, prepare answers on auditors’ requests
- Manage Luxembourg tax statement review / tax payment and tax slip review;
- Prepare the annual tax benchmark with Aperam peers.
- Maintain and manage day to day relationship with the Luxembourg tax office
- Build strong relationships with internal teams (legal, treasury, business, ..) and external advisors
- A minimum of 5 years proven experience in Luxembourg Tax (MNE or Big4) is an asset.
- Solid knowledge of the Luxembourg corporate tax legislation (Luxembourg tax diploma is an asset)
- Ideally graduated from University (Master or similar) in Economics, Accounting, Finance and/or (tax) law.
- Fluency in English and French and/or German
- You are analytical & a creative problem solver. You are result oriented.
