Managing Associate

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

Contributing to the business planning and decision making, with an appreciation of the implications on the wider Group
Providing technically accurate, complex legal advice to clients demonstrating a high standard of professional knowledge
Establishing, building and maintaining productive working relationships with clients, acting as an authority in the area of expertise, both internally and externally
Developing and providing a culture of service excellence within the team and jurisdiction, ensuring that the highest quality of work is achieved consistently and efficiently in all areas
Generating business from both new and existing clients, via effective internal and external business
Development activities and striving to develop the Ogier brand
Responsibility for the performance and development of direct reports in conjunction with the Partner
Providing effective leadership, drive and motivation, and project a credible image that inspires confidence
Encouraging teamwork at all levels to achieve personal, team and group objectives

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

A minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification experience with the funds environment
Strong team and relationship building, negotiation, presentation, communication and leadership skills
Ability to inspire and develop others
Ability to formulate, consider and select the most appropriate solutions
Be results-driven with a high level of business acumen and commerciality
