Job Purpose: To assist in managing the accounting functions and ensure compliance with tax regulations, specifically focusing on Kastam (Customs) and LHDN (Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia). The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing tax returns, and ensuring adherence to relevant statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties:

Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
Support in managing accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and process invoices and payments.

Tax Compliance:

Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns, including GST, corporate tax, and other relevant taxes.
Ensure timely compliance with Kastam (Customs) regulations and LHDN requirements.
Maintain knowledge of current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Prepare necessary documentation and reports for tax audits and reviews.
Liaise with tax authorities and handle inquiries or issues related to tax matters.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of tax filings and correspondence with tax authorities.
Prepare and submit necessary reports to management on financial and tax-related matters.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all tax-related documents.

General Administrative Duties:

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses.
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.

Requirements:

Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and tax, with a focus on Kastam (Customs) and LHDN compliance.
Knowledge: Familiarity with Malaysian tax laws, Kastam (Customs) regulations, and accounting principles.
Attributes: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Languages: Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and English.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
