Field Application Scientist

- Responsible for pre-sales and post-sales activities including conducting demonstrations, CMEs, evaluation, training and etc.
- Assists in documentation of routine activities in compliance with company’s quality management system.
- Handle troubleshooting calls/ on-site investigation. Might need to work out of office hours.
- A customer-facing personality, including the ability to build positive relationships and engage in scientific discussions with customers.
- Ability to demonstrate proper etiquette and empathy for each customer interaction.
- Understand customer experimental needs/ objective(s) and provide company solutions that help to achieve customer scientific goals.
- Ability to support customer technical problems by phone calls, email, webinar, or in-person.
- Ability to integrate both internal and field-based resources to find solutions based on customer requests.
- Ability to prioritize conflicting customer requests based on urgency and business value.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written. Additional language skills are welcome.
- Minimum Bachelor’s in Biomedical Science/ Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
- 1-3 years in clinical laboratory experience, and/ or minimum 1 year in field-based application support is required. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Familiar with clinical laboratory workflow and diagnostic tests.
- Basic technical knowledge and understanding of molecular biology, including DNA/ RNA extraction, PCR, q PCR & d PCR would be a plus point.
- Excellent and effective communication skills with good interpersonal characteristics.
- Good team player and able to work independently.
- Able to travel within (domestic) and outside (international) of Malaysia.
