JOB SUMMARY
As an Endoscope Repair Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of endoscopic equipment. This role requires a strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring that all medical devices meet safety and performance standards. You will work closely with the biomedical team and provide support to healthcare facilities by ensuring their endoscopic equipment is reliable and fully functional.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspection & Troubleshooting:

• Conduct thorough inspections of endoscopic equipment to identify issues or potential malfunctions.
• Diagnose problems using specialized tools and techniques.
• Evaluate the condition of parts and components, determining the need for repairs or replacements.

Repair & Maintenance:

• Perform detailed repairs on various types of endoscopes, especially flexible videoscopes.
• Replace defective parts, ensuring the equipment is restored to optimal functionality.
• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning and calibration of equipment.
• Conduct dry and wet leak tests and other diagnostic procedures to ensure the endoscope's integrity.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare detailed reports on the condition of equipment, repair processes, and any recommendations for further action.
• Ensure all repair and maintenance activities comply with regulatory standards and company protocols.

Quality Assurance:

• Test and validate repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and relevant regulations.

Customer Support:

• Communicate with healthcare providers and facility managers to discuss repair needs, provide updates, and offer technical guidance.
• Offer training to healthcare staff on the proper use and maintenance of endoscopic equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical device repair, preferably with endoscopic equipment.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining endoscopes.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical skills in electronics, mechanics, and optics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient in using repair tools, diagnostic equipment, and software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certifications:

• Certification in endoscope repair or biomedical equipment technology is an advantage.
• ISO 13485 or similar quality management system knowledge is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is typically performed in a lab or workshop setting.
• Occasional travel may be required to client locations for on-site repairs.
• Must be able to handle equipment and tools safely.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

• Commission pay
