Job Summary
The Head of Operations Excellence is responsible for leading and guiding key functions including Continuous Improvement, Business Architecture, and Quality & Compliance. This role is crucial in ensuring these sub-functions work together to achieve the organization's strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include:
Develop and Implement Continuous Improvement Programs:

• Design and implement regionally aligned programs and frameworks to enhance operational performance through process re-engineering, resulting in increased efficiency, productivity, and standardization.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by utilizing industry-leading tools and methodologies, such as LEAN, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering, to identify and execute improvements.

Leverage Digitization through Business Architecture:

• Foster collaboration across functions, especially within Operations, to capitalize on digitization opportunities that drive efficiency.
• Establish and guide the development and execution of regional and market-specific business architecture strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall strategic goals.

Quality and Compliance Management:

• Oversee the development and implementation of quality management systems and processes to meet the company's quality and compliance standards.
• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, TAPA, and specific customer and supplier quality requirements.

Coaching and Training:

• Develop and maintain a functional skills matrix, conduct training needs assessments, and design effective training plans across business processes, project management, leadership, financial management, and technology.
• Align coaching and training with both individual development and business needs, ensuring a systematic approach that helps employees build higher levels of skills, competencies, and expertise within realistic timeframes.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior operations leadership role with site P&L accountability, demonstrating a strong track record of operational excellence across various functions and teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, logistics, supply chain, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as an MBA, PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Certification is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of the responsibilities and requirements of all sub-function roles.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing continuous improvement programs (e.g., LEAN or Six Sigma) and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with business architecture design, planning, implementation methodologies, and tools.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and TAPA certifications.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coach, guide team members, and manage complex projects directly as needed.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, manage resources efficiently, and work effectively both in-person and remotely.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and information to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior executives.
• Strong analytical abilities with a good commercial and technical understanding of logistics and supply chain environments.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential; knowledge of additional Asian languages is an advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness and ability to travel interstate and/or overseas for projects, as required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM17,000.00 - RM23,000.00 per month
