Working for the U.S. Mission
We offer you the chance to join a unique team where your work contributes to our Mission: maintaining and strengthening the diplomatic ties between the United States and the Netherlands. United in our diversity, our motto reflects our spirit: one team, one mission! Are you ready to join us?
What you do
As the Community Management Coordinator, you are responsible for the Mission’s digital communication through our social media and website. You develop a year-long editorial calendar to promote Mission goals and priorities with online communities in the Netherlands; you are the expert on social media engagement and tie potential audience groups to content that reflects the Mission’s priorities. You facilitate and host online conversations and you are in charge of developing innovative tools and opportunities for online engagement. You have strong analytic skills to identify target audiences, understand their sensitivities, and identify the best strategic content, format, and delivery means to influence them in support of U.S. policy objectives. You have excellent customer relations skills, interpersonal cross-cultural communication skills, and are able to engage the full range of Dutch priority audience groups through online engagement. Strong organizational skills are important in this role to manage multiple engagement platforms at the same time and actively engage with the public simultaneously on those platforms.
You are able to manage projects such as marketing, information or advocacy campaigns, including associated project budgets, schedules, and daily operations to produce, adapt, and disseminate time-sensitive content, and you have experience with creating and using photo and video sharing sites, podcasts, video and other digital products.
