Company Description
The IP Interconnect Team is part of a larger voice team within the Network Services department. The team provides routing for call traffic in addition to the interconnect service. Besides these services, we also have monitoring systems that enable us to assist our customers with complaints. This ensures that all people and opperators stay connected, both on mobile and fixed technologies.
The team, and therefore you, provides the following services:

• IP Interconnect This service consists of multiple platforms that we manage as a team and on which we innovate.
• Monitoring To help all our customers, our team has various monitoring elements that we can use to create traces. In case of complaints, we can investigate the complaints using these tools.

This service is the ‘traffic roundabout of The Netherlands’ and with this roundabout, we connect socially relevant customers, such as the police, the emergency number 112, and no less than 60 operators! This means we must always be ready to provide all customers with 100% accessibility. We achieve this by:

• Keeping the platform as healthy and secure as possible
• Product development (new technology and customer needs)
• Life cycle management

We work hybrid: (at least) 2 days at the office in Zoetermeer and partly from home. The team expects to move to the KPN Office in Rotterdam in 2025.

Job Description
YOUR IMPACT:
As a Dev Ops engineer you are proactive in handling platform tickets and monitoring our dashboards. Where necessary, you start the analysis: what is going on, are there alarms, does a customer have a complaint, and how can we solve it? If necessary, you manage suppliers. You also ensure that recurring problems are structurally solved and take on a coordinating role when an innovation (project) comes along.


As a Dev Ops Engineer you work together with your team and resposible for:

• Support and maintenance, handling tickets, configuration management, scripting, test automation and ci/cd.
• Based on the sprint goals, you determine with the team and which items go on the Product Backlog, so it is clear what to work on in the coming sprints.
• You implement software (updates), based on existing and new technologies and in line with procedures, instructions, and KSP. The goal is to add value to the chain.
• You respond to outages or disruptions by (directly) participating in technical sessions and thinking about solving the service disruption for the customer (this is more important than solving the problem). You also handle aftercare, and together with the team, you divide the workload.

Qualifications
This Dev Ops engineer position requires a personality with a great sense of responsibility. You take initiative from ownership and have the drive to improve. In a challenging environment, you easily share your knowledge with colleagues, and you learn from each other’s expertise. Collaboration and adaptability are your strong points, and an Agile mindset is essential.
You bring the following knowledge and skills:

• Communication and collaboration skills, in addition to your demonstrable technical knowledge
• Ability to work on complex engineering topics
• Knowledge of Voice over IP
• Knowledge of IP and software development
• Knowledge of Security (hardening / EPP) is a plus

! There is an on-call duty for certain services. Sometimes working in the evening, night, or weekend is desired (service windows for our customers)

• A gross monthly salary ranging from a minimum of €3.998,- to a maximum of € 5.851,- based on a 37-hour work week, offcourse depending on your work experience,
