(Senior) Electricity Market expert

Who we are looking for:
- MSc or Ph D in (Energy) Economics or similar
- A solid understanding of electricity markets (long-term, day-ahead, intraday, balancing markets and capacity markets), their functioning, design and dynamics as well as of the relevant market developments in the EU
- Around 5 years of experience in in electricity market analysis
- Thorough understanding of regulatory framework on European electricity market integration (EMDR, NC DR, FCA Guideline, CACM Guideline)
- Very strong analytical skills, which include forward and creative thinking, ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and convey them succinctly
- Excellent communication skills, able to listen to and engage people
- Experience in data visualization and experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, relevant Python libraries) is a plus
- Knowledge of sector coupling (gas, hydrogen, mobility) is a plus
- High degree of autonomy – incl. experience with project management, motivation to get things done and proactive problem solving
- Professional fluency in English (minimum C1), and preferably fluent in German or Dutch, another European language is a plus
- A visa/permit to work in the Netherlands or another EU country with our presence and openness to travel abroad (project-dependent)
- Work on challenging analyses for energy (electricity and hydrogen) projects across Europe
- High degree of responsibility and autonomy
