February 2025 We are looking for a motivated student-assistant with strong attention to detail to support our project on developing digital biomarkers for Parkinson's disease based on video recordings. You will primarily focus on the annotation of video recordings of neurological assessments of people with Parkinson’s disease. Your work will be of direct use for the development of AI tools to assess its severity and progression over time.

You will work closely together with Tahereh Zarrat Ehsan, a Ph D student at the Center of Expertise for Parkinson & Movement Disorders. You will be responsible for creating precise annotations of video recordings of various movement tasks to assess the severity of Parkinson’s disease symptoms, following specific guidelines and annotation software. During your work, you will have the opportunity to learn about the neurological evaluation and about the application of AI to automatically score these assessments.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Create manual annotations of video recordings of clinical asssessments, according to the project guidelines provided.
• Review and edit the annotations to maintain consistency and adherence to the guidelines.
• Collaborate with the project researchers to refine the annotation guidelines based on your findings.

• A gross monthly salary between € 2.599 and € 3.571 (scale 6) for full-time employment (36 hours per week). You will also receive an 8% holiday allowance, an 8.3% end-of-year bonus, and, depending on the position, an allowance of 47% to 72% for working irregular hours.
• 172 vacation hours per year based on a 36-hour working week. (As of 1 January 2025, you will receive 176 vacation hours).

You will work at the AI for Parkinson lab at the Radboudumc Center of Expertise for Parkinson & Movement Disorders. You will be supervised by Tahereh Zarrat Ehsan, the Ph D student from the lab focussing on AI-based analysis of video recordings of people with Parkinson’s disease.
