Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua Mid Central (Mid Central) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatū, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.

The Opportunity
Are you a skilled and motivated professional ready to embrace a new challenge? We are launching an innovative Early Supported Discharge (ESD) service, and we're looking for dedicated Allied Health Assistants to join our team from the ground up! Full time and part time positions are available.

This is a unique opportunity to shape a brand-new service, designed to support patients in transitioning from hospital to home. As part of our dynamic ESD team, you'll work in a fast-paced environment where your support will be vital in enhancing patient recovery through early discharge and home-based rehabilitation.

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have an Enthusiastic, energetic, resilient, with a ‘can do' attitude
• Have the ability to work effectively within a team
• Are driven with a strong desire to help clients and whānau achieve their goals
• Have effective written, oral and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures.
• Brings strong organisational and time management skills
• Holds a full New Zealand clean and current driver's licence
• Having experience working in a similar environment would be an advantage but not essential.
