Clinical Research Study Assistant - Liver Transplant Research

An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Research Study Assistant at Liver Research Unit, Auckland City Hospital.
You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of pharmaceutical-sponsored Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials in liver cancer, viral hepatitis, fatty liver and rare indications such as Wilson’s Disease, Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis and Amyloidosis. Working on cutting edge research and bringing treatment opportunities to patients makes Liver Research Unit a highly rewarding and exciting place to work.
The Liver Research Unit is part of the New Zealand Liver Transplant Unit. The welcoming team consists of a Research Manager, a Research Nurse Coordinator, five Research Nurses, three Research Coordinators, two Research Doctors and a Scientist.
After a supportive training orientation, you will be working with the team to support co-ordination of a number of studies, data management, quality assurance, financial management and administrative tasks to ensure studies run ethically and effectively

As an ideal candidate, you will hold a tertiary qualification and will have experience with data administration in the health sector. Your motivation and positive attitude will be welcomed by the team. You will impress with your excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and proficiency in computer skills (MS Office).
You will have a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, as well as part of the team. You will bring with you great people skills, and your empathy towards patients will contribute to positive patient experience. A background in medical/health science/pharmacy/similar will be an advantage.
