Job Description
Leighs has a secure pipeline of future work and a clear strategy for growth. We are looking for a Regional Commercial Manager to join our South Island team in Christchurch and contribute to the ongoing transformation of our commercial systems and processes.
In this role, you will support project teams in managing, reporting, and forecasting project financial performance, providing technical guidance and coaching. As part of the Regional Management Team, you will assist the Regional Manager in managing and forecasting regional financial performance, ensuring budget targets are met, and contributing to the development and execution of the region’s annual plan.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or other relevant field.
- Minimum of ten years’ experience as a commercial lead or in a similar role with strategic business responsibilities.
- Proven experience in the commercial construction industry, with significant industry credibility.
- Demonstrated capability in managing construction projects valued between $50m and $150m.
- Previous experience with Jobpac for financial management, cost control, contract administration, and project reporting would be desirable.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and value input from others to ensure alignment and success.
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach to challenges, using critical thinking and creativity.
- Skilled in building strong relationships and managing both your own emotions and those of your team.
- Resilient and flexible in dynamic environments, adapting to changing business needs.
- Effective at navigating and resolving conflicts, maintaining positive working relationships.
