Design Analyst Mental Health & Addictions - National Office

The Design Analyst supports system evaluations by identifying challenges and constraints affecting service delivery. They provide expert advice throughout the design process, ensuring user-centric system enhancements and fostering cross-agency collaboration. Responsibilities include facilitating interviews, hui, and stakeholder discussions with a focus on tikanga and Te Ao Māori principles. The role involves prototyping, testing design concepts, maintaining brand identity, and promoting design best practices. It also emphasises professional development, diversity, equity, and inclusion, understanding Te Tiriti o Waitangi, legal compliance, and health and safety.
He kōrero mōu | About you
To succeed in this role, you need strong analytical skills to assess systems comprehensively and expertise in interpreting and synthesising information from multiple sources. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (especially In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, and some video editing software) is required.
You should be skilled at managing diverse tasks, meeting deadlines, and adapting to client and stakeholder needs. Critical evaluation of design work from a client perspective and a creative approach aligned with brand identity are also important. A relevant tertiary qualification or similar, along with at least three years of experience in a design analyst or service design role, is desirable. A clean full driver's licence and ability to travel may also be needed.
Utu ā-tau | Salary
The full salary range is $81,606 - $115,209. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role. This is a fixed-term position ending 1 August 2025.
